[License-review] Non-binding straw poll: Do you think CC0 should be approved?

It's my opinion that CC0 is non-free since it permits the original
author of a work to separately require a patent license.  If the
OSI were to approve this license as-is, it should also change its 
charter to deal *only* with copyright licenses.  I agree with Bruce
in that the original author of the work is the one most likely to
hold patents on very specific mechanisms in that work.  This license
seems to me the perfect vehicle for a well financed organization
that would use the OSI stamp of approval to get broad adoption and 
then after their work is a standard component, ask for royalties.
