No, no. The BSD license requires you to keep the BSD metadata
(copyright and disclaimer) with the BSD code. The GPL requires that
in your derivative work, the non-GPL code cannot impose any conditions
other than those which the GPL imposes. The BSD requirement
"keep the metadata intact" is the same as the existing GPL
clause 1 requirement "keep the metadata intact", so there is
no conflict.

No. The BSD license requires that BSD code have the BSD license
associated with it. The only question is, does that conflict with
the GPL's requirements on non-GPL code: answer, "no".
