Hi.

I've updated the draft of the Tiwaz License, version 1.0.

These commits address feedback and points raised by McCoy Smith and Carlo Piana.

Commit `4691d6a565f20fedf04aca7434a3a73f843e6080`:

* Corrected Section 2 numbering.

* Applied specific formatting to Sections 6 (Disclaimer of Warranty) and 7 (Limitation of Liability) to visually distinguish them, in accordance with the styling of these sections in the original Mozilla Public License, Version 2.0. This includes using blockquotes (e.g., with > characters) in the Markdown version, surrounding the text with asterisks in the plain text (ASCII/TXT) version, and applying distinct visual styling (such as a highlighted background) in the HTML version.

Commit `df6f006aa151f3820b3f1f7a2e9241a40b393b5b`:

* Added an 'Exhibit B: Acknowledgements and Relationship to MPL 2.0' section to further clarify and explicitly state that the Tiwaz License, while derived from MPL 2.0, is not affiliated with Mozilla or its projects, and is not endorsed by them.

Thank you for your suggestions.

fwiw i did a compare of this license vs mpl-2.0 and posted it to github.

i find this an easier way of reviewing licenses that are derived from a

preexisting license:

https://github.com/McCoySmith/OSI-License-Review-Compare/blob/main/Tiwaz-1.0%20compare%20MPL-2.0.odt

the formatting changes are generally OK although the paragraph numbering

in Section 2 is off. otherwise the changes are as described.

one interesting observation. canonical MPL-2.0

(https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/MPL/2.0/) has the disclaimer and

limitation of liability highlighted in yellow. This is, I believe, to

address the UCC requirement (in USA law) that such

disclaimers/limitations be "conspicuous" which is typically done ALL

CAPS as colors and the like you can't do in ASCII. The SPDX and OSI

versions of MPL-2.0 dispense with the coloring, substituting (for SPDX)

a row of asterixes (and for OSI) italics. whether those count for

conspicuous is an interesting question, somewhat discussed by Luis Villa

here:

https://lu.is/2012/08/a-quick-note-on-conspicuous-text-also-known-as-all-caps/

.
