I haven't found anything in our mailing list archives to answer that question. Kurt Zeilenga,
who is still head of the OpenLDAP Foundation, hasn't been actively involved in the Project
for many years, and is difficult to reach.

Probably you need to also read the COPYRIGHT file to get the full context of the situation.
