Apologies for the top post. I'm on my phone. 

"Modified Works" is used in the last sentence of the definition of Contribution.  It is the exclusion of Modified Works from Contributions that defines the scope of copyleft in the EPLv2. This construction (e.g. the copyleft scope buried in a definition) was also in the EPLv1.
