The word that is "Proprietary"

"Commodity" is just as bad as "proprietary". It means something that is
sold. And open source software is certainly sold (at least that's what
everyone tells me). Furthermore, "commodity" also defines a class of
products more akin to open source than closed.

Why not just take the most sensible term, "closed source software"?
