There is one part that troubles me. You have defined the Subject Matter 
of the License very broadly, "components protected under copyright, 
design and/or patent law." The license therefore can be applied, for 
example, to hardware. That appears to be intentional.

In section 4 you say "You may reproduce and distribute copies of the 
Subject Matter of the License or Derivative Works on any medium, with or 
without modifications (with regard to software components)...." I'm not 
sure why the parenthetical is there. It can be interpreted to mean that 
one can reproduce and distribute software components but one cannot 
reproduce and distribute non-software components.

What were you trying to clarify with the parenthetical? Can it be stated 
in a way that prevents an interpretation that non-software components 
cannot be reproduced and distributed?
