I would say it was simply GPL incompatible. (There has always been the
option, where you own the copyright of giving extra permissions to GPL
code, to allow it to coexist, but you cannot impose extra restrictions.)

Emails are not formal business letters, whatever businesses may want.
RFC1855 says there should be an address here, but, in a world of spam,
that is no longer good advice, as archive address hiding may not work.
