Yes. Most OSI-certified licenses require that the author is
acknowledged. When they don't specify what they call "author", I
assume they mean "copyright holder".
David Woolley answered my question: "A copyright licence is NEVER
binding on the copyright owner." However, he also mentioned that
acknowledgment is a moral right for the author, but contries differ as
to how they protect moral rights.
It might be useful, though, if licenses made a difference between
"copyright owners" and "moral rights owners".
