The point is, it doesn't matter.  The author who is not a copyright
holder has no rights at all, except for whatever rights he acquired by
bargaining with the holder, either when he turned over the work or when
he began employment.  I have no rights in the work I do for my employer,
and there's no way I can make them leave my name on the code if they
publicly distribute it (as they will be doing soon).
