Hi,

I've written an essay on free software licensing last month. It explains
the basics of intellectual property law, discusses some (semi-) free
software licenses, and tries to provide a guide to choosing a license
for a project.

You may find it useful, if only for the nice collection of links
provided by the `references' section. Or maybe you just feel like
