Did I send the e-mail below to the wrong address? It's been over a year and I

Subject: Approval for Binary Filters with SR.EXE

For Approval

By: Gareth B. Dolby

Approval of completely new licenses, (or licenses previously used by only a
single entity(.

The packages at http://www.binaryfilters.org/ includes:

SR.EXE

SR!.EXE

UNIQUE.EXE

WORDS.EXE

SINGLE.EXE

SINGLES.EXE

PREFIX.EXE

SUFFIX.EXE

BEFORE.EXE

AFTER.EXE

UPPER.EXE

LOWER.EXE and

ECHO2CON.EXE

It also includes help information in PDF and installed as a CHM file.

*	Distinguish by Name:

SR.EXE and SR!.EXE are the same, but with an alias to avoid confusion with other
files available by the same name of SR.EXE. These other SR.EXEs available on
the Internet are (1) WinFixer, an Adware tool considered malicious, (2) SlickRun
(http://slickrun.en.softonic.com/ ), Search-and-Replace (3) by Funduc (
http://www.funduc.com/search_replace.htm ) and Search-and-Replace (4) by
InfoRapid ( http://www.inforapid.de/html/suchenersetzen.htm ). These two
Search-and-Replace programs operate differently from mine.

There is another file available on the Internet named UNIQUE.EXE. It is a NFS
game (http://ulozto.net/xrpGj5M/nfs-most-wanted-unique-exe-torrent ), not a
filter

There is another file available on the Internet named WORDS.EXE
(http://archives.nd.edu/whitaker/wordswin.htm ), which gives the meaning of
Latin words, instead of separating words.

There is another file available on the Internet named SINGLES.EXE
(http://www.allthingsnow.com/week/coding/shared/43529240/Download-Simon-Tatham-s
-Portable-Puzzle-Collection ), which is Simon Tatham's portable puzzle
collection, instead of a space reducer.

There is another file available on the Internet named PREFIX.EXE, which is a
precarious file created to slash security.

All my other file names are unique on the Internet. These are SUFFIX, BEFORE,
AFTER, UPPER, SINGLE, LOWER, ECHO2CON and SR!

*	Distinguish by Function:

U-Convert ( http://www.u-convert.com/ ) is similar to many filters above, but is
not programmable, because it uses a GUI.

Textfixers ( http://www.textfixer.com/tools/ ) are similar to many of these
filters, but are not programmable, because they are only on-line.

TextMechanic ( http://textmechanic.com/ ) has similar filters to many of these,
but are not programmable, because they are only on-line.

FAR (http://findandreplace.sourceforge.net/ ) is similar to SR, but it requires
Java and uses a GUI for Find-And-Replace operations across multiple files in
entire directory trees. SR only requires Windows.

The Linux and Unix TR command is similar to SR, but can only do one-for-one
character TRanslation and does not run in Windows.

The Linux and Unix uniq command is very similar to UNIQUE, but has different
options with restrictions and does not run in Windows.

There are many, old filters that can add a PREFIX or SUFFIX to every line, but
all of them require the command line parameters to begin with code that prepares
it to do only that. PREFIX and SUFFIX only do that, so those command line
parameters are eliminated. SR can add a PREFIX and SUFFIX in one command, but
does require the command line parameters to begin with code that prepares it to
do that.

*	Rationale: This software has never been distributed on the Internet on
any website other than my new http://www.binaryfilters.org/. It has also never
been mailed to anyone.

*	Legal review: There have been no legal reviews of this license or
software.

. There are no earlier public discussions about licensing Binary Filters.

. Proliferation category: A single license is appropriate. This is a
plaintext copy of the license that I am requesting:

The MIT License (MIT)

The MIT License (MIT)

THE SOFTWARE.

P.S. Would I be better off just renaming SR to SR!?
