There’s another point: IANAL, but from what I’ve heard, fonts do
not fall under copyright/droit d’auteur law in (at least) Germany,
only trademark law (protection of the font “look” / glyphs, but
not the actual implementation of it).

(If someone who is actually a German lawyer could confirm this,
I’d be glad.)
