I wish the Debian developers had been the cohesive and supportive bunch 
of folks you think they were, and that there had been no hostile parties 
and companies that wanted to game the system. Remember, this is when 
TrollTech had Qt under an x86-only license, and they weren't the only 
one playing that game.

Things haven't changed that much.
