The PLI "Open Source and Free Software 2015" program will be on Wednesday,
December 16, 2015, in San Francisco. Please join us in person or on the web
<http://www.pli.edu/re.aspx?pk=158157&t=THF5_OPEN5> and earn continuing
legal education credits.

This is the agenda for our legal program this year:

* Luis Villa (Wikimedia), Gabriel Holloway (Leonard Street & Deinard)
and Marc Visnick (Johnson-Laird): These three popular speakers will define
the open source community and describe its licenses for those new to this
area of intellectual property in software.

* David Marr (Qualcomm) and MItch Segal (Hewlett-Packard): Attorneys
for large technology companies describe their own best practices for open
source license enforcement, and identify the standards they expect from
their software vendors' development ecosystems.

* Heather Meeker (O'Melveny & Myers) and MIchel Jaccard (id est
avocats sarl): Keep abreast of open source litigation in the US and Europe.

* Harrison "Buzz" Frahn (Simpson Thacher & Bartlett) and Gwyn Murray
(Matau Legal Group): Earn one unit of ethics credit with this NEW topic for
our legal open source program -- and learn ways to recognize and to
eliminate bias in the engineering and legal profession.

* Pamela Chestek (Chestek Legal) and Stephen LaPorte (Wikimedia):
These trademark specialists will describe new efforts in the open source
community to create and protect trademarks for free software.

* Heather Meeker (O'Melveny & Myers), Cliff Allen (Microsoft), Duane
Valz (Google), Jim Wright (Oracle), Lawrence Rosen (Rosenlaw & Einschlag):
A closing panel on HOT TOPICS. This expert panel will alert you to critical
issues for open source attorneys, and answer your questions.
