Creative Commons Foundation has one interpretation of what those
licenses mean.

MIT has a second interpretation of what those licenses mean.

The Dutch organization that collects royaties for music has a third
interpretation of what those licenses mean.

Those interpretations are mutually discongruent.

Easy?  Clear?

That depends upon:
* Type of content that is being licenced;
* What rights you hope to preserve;
* What rights you want to grant;

Unless you have spent hours studying the ramifications and side effects
of each clause in the license, the odds are the licenses do not protect
what you think they protect, and do not grant what you think they grant.
