Not to be too pendantic but...you can be "free" and GPL-incompatible.

For example Apache 1.1, original BSD, CDDL, JOSL...

I would also ask you consider MPL over LGPL if you don't want to use
GNU Classpath (there are some edge cases where LGPL can be annoying).  

Actually, I would ask that you consider MPL vs. GCL anyway since they
are all weak copylefts to varying degrees.
