This might be the case for US law.  It appears to be the intent of UK 
law that it is not the case of UK law, as there is copyright in 
databases, which I believe is intended to cover exactly that case.

Emails are not formal business letters, whatever businesses may want.
RFC1855 says there should be an address here, but, in a world of spam,
that is no longer good advice, as archive address hiding may not work.
