Yes, there's no real need for a new license, except the historical
reason I mentioned. The Allegro library always used the "giftware"
license worded by its author, so why change it.

There's a separate disclaimer at the beginning of the documentation
(http://alleg.sourceforge.net/onlinedocs/en/index.html - the paragraph
with blue background). Apparently who wrote it didn't think this has to
be inside the same text which describes how you may copy/modify it.
Could this still be a problem?
