<div dir="ltr">Hi everyone,<div><br></div><div>We would like to apologize for the various emails that were sent recently, which were found to be AI generated.</div><div><br><div>We do not allow posts generated by AI without careful review from the author and will reject posts where we suspect that an AI has been responsible for all or most of a message.</div></div><div><br></div><div>The use of AI to help members to better understand and respond to a complex topic, especially when the discussions are in a foreign language and very legalese, is appropriate for the purpose of making the discussions more accessible.</div><div><br></div><div>However, we have identified that license-discuss and license-review are being used as a proof-of-concept to demonstrate that an AI system can autonomously engage and even draft an open source license for review.</div><div><br></div><div>We believe that this behavior goes against the &quot;Respect time and attention&quot; from our <a href="https://opensource.org/codeofconduct">Code of Conduct</a>. We&#39;ll be updating it to better reflect the use of AI.</div><div><br></div><div>We would like to thank one of our members who provided valuable feedback on this matter. <span style="background-color:transparent">We&#39;ll share more details soon.</span></div><div><br></div><div>Thank you all for your comprehension.</div><div><br></div><div>Kind regards,</div><div>OSI Moderators</div></div>
