Actually, I'm OK with incorporation into another program as a trigger *when
a developer causes it to happen.* We have the specific issue of the
production and distribution of instructions that combine a program and
create a derivative work only at the users site, as a means to bypass the
distribution provisions of the GPL. This is argued to apply to dynamic
linking.

Compilation of other code which is not open source, or indeed any term
regarding things that are only processed by the program, would be
field-of-use restrictions.

The concept is interesting and I have felt for a while that a stronger
reciprocal license is necessary. I think it can be achieved in a way that's
compliant with the OSD and compelling to the people here and the OSI board.
But perhaps not as quickly as you think.
