You didn't write the OSD.  You wrote the Debian Free Software
Guidelines.  Note: guidelines rather than actual rules.  They were to
be interpreted by Debian maintainers who presumably had the best
interests of Debian at heart.  They were not written to be interpreted
by hostile parties, with OSI approval the reward for strict compliance.
If we were to use them in that manner, many bad things would have
happened.  We didn't, and they didn't.
