Yes, this is exactly what I was thinking to do, and I posted a question 
regarding it to license-discuss. I'm not sure if you were responding to 
that, but you answered my question completely. Now I know I wouldn't be 
offending the following AFL license if I put this notice before the 
license text. Of course I will clearly separate them from each other.

BTW, my question of attribution on derived publications may be a good item 
on your common questions area (FAQ).
