[License-discuss] Request for Feedback on the Lone Dynamics Open License

Hello,
This license is a variation of the BSD 1-clause and MIT licenses, adapted
to also include open-source projects that may be distributed as physical
objects, such as PCB designs, 3D models, books, etc.
The license is shorter, more permissive, but more ambiguous than "CERN Open
Hardware Licence Version 2 – Permissive".
It includes no patent retaliation clause, or trademark usage restrictions.
The primary purpose of this license, beyond disclaiming liability, is to
prevent someone from simply copying an existing project repo and claiming
that they created it.
Whether or not this particular license is ultimately submitted for review
and approved, I think it may be useful to have a short and simple
permissive hardware license approved by OSI, assuming that one doesn't
already exist.
