Question Regarding Copyright Issue For An Open Source Project

You may wish to look at Apache's Contributor License Agreement and have it tailored for you by a local IP laywer.  Under Apache's CLA the author retains copyright but grants the foundation a perpetual copyright and patent license.  MySQL also has a CLA.
