To me that implies that it is copyright also in 2008 by the original 
authors. And it implies work was done in 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007 (but 
we only know about 2002, 2004 and new author in 2008). Thee original 
authors may or may not care to be associated with code in years where they 
weren't involved.
