Whether or not Chris deserved to be banned, I do think it was  
"uncivil" to call his postings "idiotic."

One of my goals as moderator is to improve the overall tone of license  
discuss (yes, my New Year's Resolution is to be more like Don  
Quixote :-), and I would appreciate your cooperation to that end.

I'm also taking over responsibility for reviewing Chris's case.  From  
what I can tell, he seems just as happy to not be on the list, so I  
consider that issue moot for now, but will take all the relevant data  
under consideration if he applies to rejoin.
