For content, you probably should look at the various Creative Commons
licenses.  See http://creativecommons.org/.

In particular, you might want to check out the Databases and Creative
Commons FAQ: http://sciencecommons.org/resources/faq/databases.html

Subject: Looking for OS Licence for DB Dump

Hello

I am looking for an Open Source / Free licence which specifically is
designed for structured content (database dump). We from SOMAP.org are
compiling a database of threats, vulnerabilities and risk. We would like
to release dumps of this Repository under an Open Source licence.
Unfortunately it is a little bit tricky to find such licences.

This is why I am writing here. Does anybody of you know of a licence
which would cover our dumps? I already know of this licence:

Open Source Vulnerability Database Free License
<http://osvdb.org/license.php>

Do you know of other similar licences? And what is your thought on the
licence above?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Best regards,
Adrian
