I am already quite familiar with this discussion.
In your initial post, you mentioned glibc. glibc is not a kernel
loadable module. It only uses the Linux kernel syscall interface.
The discussions you mention above do not apply to glibc.
In fact, I believe that those discussions support my initial point,
which is that there is no clear legal position for software which uses
an API which is only defined by a single GPL implementation.
