No, it's not.  It's a reason to fix the existing software, as Larry
Rosen pointed out earlier this month.

Discouraging, not prohibiting.  Just as I discourage people from
writing Yet Another <whatever>.  Pick one that's closest to what you
want, use it, and fix it if you still think it needs fixing after
you've used it for a while.
