[ Please discuss this license. -russ ]

Hello All -

Below are details of the Entessa Public License that we would like to be
considered for OSI approval.

The Entessa Public License Version, 1.0 (EPL) is very similar to the
contents of the Apache Software License, Version 1.1 (ASL), except for
differences in the following six variations. As such, we believe that
other open source software distributed with open source software under
this license will have the same compatability traits as those with
Apache.

VARIATION ONE
The required acknowledgment of Section 3 of the ASL reads:
 * "This product includes software developed by the
 *        Apache Software Foundation (http://www.apache.org/)."
whereas the required acknowledgment of Section 3 of the EPL reads::
 * "This product includes open source software developed by
 *        openSEAL (http://www.openseal.org/)."

VARIATION TWO
The beginging of Section 4 of the ASL reads:
    4. The names "Xerces" and "Apache Software Foundation"
whereas EPL reads:
    4. The names "openSEAL" and "Entessa"

VARIATION THREE
The contact email address in Section 4 of the ASL is:
    apache at apache.org
whereas EPL reads:
    epl at entessa.com

VARIATION FOUR
The end of Section 5 of the ASL reads:
permission of the Apache Software Foundation
whereas EPL reads:
    permission of Entessa

VARIATION FIVE
ASL reads the following parties in the disclaimer:
   THE APACHE SOFTWARE FOUNDATION OR
   ITS CONTRIBUTORS
whereas, EPL reads the following parties:
   ENTESSA, LLC, OPENSEAL OR
   ITS CONTRIBUTORS

VARIATION SIX
The ASL final declaration reads:
This software consists of voluntary contributions made by many
individuals on behalf of the Apache Software Foundation and was
originally based on software copyright (c) 1999, International
Business Machines, Inc., http://www.ibm.com. For more
information on the Apache Software Foundation, please see
   <http://www.apache.org/>.
whereas EPL declaration reads:
This software consists of voluntary contributions made by many
individuals on behalf of openSEAL and was originally based on
software contributed by Entessa, LLC, http://www.entessa.com.
For more information on the openSEAL, please see
   <http://www.openseal.org/>.

Below is the complete license.
