publish" requirement as the APSL which RMS and others do not like.

Hello every one:

This is a request for review of the Praetor Kernel Module Open Source 
license for approval.  The license text is accessable from:

    http://www.googgun.com/pkm-license.html

This license is most like the open source licenses by various other 
corporate entities, and the reason to request approval for this license
is that there are copyright as well as trademark notices in the 
agreement, specific to Googgun Technologies Inc.

It is perfectly okay to have this text discussed on the license-discuss 
mailing list.

As this is my first time for such a request, please forgive any 
omissions or mistakes.

I look forward to your comments and suggestions and hope that with your 
help Googgun Technologies can contribute some
thing useful to the Open Source world.

Praetor(tm) Kernel Module is also called "PKM".

Googgun Technologies Inc is also called "GTI".

GTI licenses you to use and redistribute PKM in source and binary
forms, with or without modification, provided that the conditions
below are met:

1) All redistributions of PKM programs in source code must continue to
contain this PKM Open Source License, Version 1.0, including the
copyright notice set out above and disclaimer set out below.

2) All redistributions of PKM source-code and/or binaries, with or
without modifications,

    a) must also be open source with PKM attribution to Googgun
    Technologies Inc. as hereinafter set out, or else the author must
    make other licensing arrangements with Googgun Technologies
    Inc. before distributing the derivative product,

    b) must be accompanied by documentation containing this PKM Open
    Source License, Version 1.0, in full including the copyright
    notice set out above and disclaimer set out below,

    c) any additions, changes and/or modifications to the PKM be
    clearly indicated in a ChangeLog file or another appropriate
    place,

    d) each time a derived interactive executable program or a program
    dependent thereon is launched, it must display prominently for not
    less than ten seconds a splash screen or banner text containing
    the Author's attribution information, which includes:

    for softwares where splashes or banner mechanisms are not possible
    (such as non-interactive programs or libraries), or are not
    appropriate, the attribution information should be included in
    electronic and printed documentation, as well as, included in
    wherever other copyright notices are placed and are accessable by
    the end-user.

3) you license GTI and all other users of PKM programs to use your
contributions and/or modifications,

PKM is an open product, not only in its source code but also in
software algorithms, and provides its functionality under the concept
of complete sharing of knowlege.

GTI intends that users of PKM also contribute further insight into
making everyone's systems more safe and secure.

In furtherance of this, GTI rquires you to publish your PKM security
templates (contents of /proc/praetor/register and
/proc/praetor/status) with GTI to serve as examples of use of PKM for
other members of the community.

If you do not want to publish your PKM security templates with GTI,
then you have thirty (30) days within which to negotiate a waiver of
this provision from GTI or cease your use of the PKM software.

Any software written using the PKM software may not be called Praetor,
PKM or Googgun, and "Praetor", "Praetor Kernel Module", "PKM" and
"Googgun" may not be used in their names without specific prior
written permission of Googgun Technologies Inc.

The names Praetor, PKM, Googgun, Googgun Technologies Inc., and any
trademark of Googgun Technologies Inc. may not be used to endorse or
promote products derived from the PKM software without specific prior
written permission of Googgun Technologies Inc.

PKM is free of charge open source software and every user by its use
the PKM software accepts, and shall be deemed to have accepted, the
following exclusion of liability,


GOOGGUN TECHNOLOGIES INC. HAS PROVIDED THE PKM SOFTWARE FREE OF ANY
CHARGE THEREFOR ON AN "AS IS" BASIS AND IT HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND
ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY
IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE.  GOOGGUN TECHNOLOGIES INC. AND ANY CONTRIBUTOR SHALL NOT BE

Users are solely responsible, to the exclusion of Googgun Technologies
Inc. and any other persons, for compliance with, regulations set by
owners or administrators of equipment employed to execute the PKM
software and programs derived therefrom, licensing terms of any other
software, compliance with paragraphs 2 and 3 hereof, and local
regulations regarding use, including those regarding import, export,
and use of encryption software.
