Part of my frustration over the Mundie fiasco is that the OSS communities 
handled it so badly.

Microsoft attacked Open Source by name, but the GPL in substance. Classic 
smoke and mirrors. And we fell for it hook, line and sinker. His attacks had 
absolutely no bearing on a dozen other licenses, yet we were content to let 
the media believe that open source equates to strong copyleft. And we didn't 
even do that great of a job defending the GPL!

One paragraph could have clammed Mundie up. And that paragraph would have 
been something like this:

"Intellectual property that Microsoft would have to disclose if they chose to 
base the next Windows on Linux: nada."
