The license says 

 *    Redistributions in any form must be accompanied by information on
 *    how to obtain complete source code for the DB software and any 
 *    accompanying software that uses the DB software

You can derive "closed source" software from the Berkely DB software.
If you choose to distribute, you must publish the source.

(This is similar to the GPL.)
