The Apache license is just the old BSD license, with what is sometimes
called "the obnoxious advertising clause". Since the BSD license, unlike
the GNU GPL, is a template rather than a single document, its exact
text will vary from developer to developer.

The BSD license has always been an approved license; a fortiori, so is
the Apache license.

Disclaimer: I don't speak for OSI.
