I personally worked on a system to replace UPS envelopes for software delivery to airlines to be loaded on to commercial airplanes. I’m certain that this system is much more secure then the mailing of sealed envelopes. It wasn’t easy to do, we had a team of about 1/2 dozen senior software developers working on it for about 1/2 dozen years. It was however provably secure using formal methods.
