I said nothing about "filing a complaint" and have no current intention to do that, although I do (sometimes) complain in writing. My emails are not confidential. Copy them under the CC-BY copyright license as I stated in my signature line.

To clarify, I am writing to CAVO members and board members. They subscribe to a mailing list, cavo at opensource.org <mailto:cavo at opensource.org> , where I send my emails.

FYI, the CAVO board and advisors and others are responsible to work with responsible officials such as the California Secretary of State and election officials in cooperating counties (such as Los Angeles and San Francisco), to encourage free and open source elections software for everywhere. This is the 21st century, and our technology allows us to build that!

You may inform Supervisor Carre Brown that I am disappointed with the utter silence from our own Mendocino County officials to my earlier emails to them on this subject. They don't seem to give a damn about effective and efficient local elections, even when we're offering potentially free software that all citizens – even rural ones, the disabled, the elderly, or the busy – can use to vote. Someday....

As for the crap you spoke about involving our local political mess in the recent election, that doesn't involve CAVO, but it does piss me off. On that I also agree with you. Please share my concerns with Carre. Meanwhile, I will share my concerns to CAVO.

/Larry
